I need one that is free and is good for Java, C++ and any other languages would be good. I love to write programs but it's no fun on paper, I want to be able to test and run the programs. Visual Basic is fun too, if there is an environment for that. Any information would be great thanks!
Where can I get a reliable programming environment online for free(java and c++)?
You can download the IDEs for a couple of popular .NET languages when you follow the link below...
Reply:Dev C++ is a compiler and IDE for Windows. Freely avaiable.
Eclipse is an IDE specifically for Java. However there are plug-ins available for C++ development. I do not believe is has a C++ compiler, however. It uses an existing one installed on your system.
Reply:First you need jdk, so go to http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/ind... (click on the JDK 6 Update 3 download link)
and then you need a compiler, my favorite is JCreator, which you can get at http://www.jcreator.com/download.htm (click on the JCreator LE download link)
Reply:Java is free (the programing Language) then you get either get Eclipse or NetBeans to program in (and comple). Microsoft has this "Express studio). So you can can C++ Express, Visual Basic Express and so forth from them. (its a compiler but with limited features).
